While the new rail lines are under construction downtown, your trip to the Theater District may be affected by delays and parking changes. METRO is working with the performing arts organizations downtown to reduce the impact of construction on their patrons. Visit the construction update page before you head downtown, and look for helpful signage throughout the Theater District. Please note that sidewalks and parking garage entrances remain open and accessible.

CURRENT CONSTRUCTION NEAR THE THEATER DISTRICT:
These areas indicate where construction and/or lane closures are located.
- Capitol east of Bagby: Three north-side lanes will be closed to traffic on the 400 block of Capitol.
- Capitol between Smith and Milam: Three north-side lanes will be closed to traffic on the 600 to 800 blocks of Capitol.
- Capitol east of Milam: Three north-side lanes will be closed to traffic during non-peak hours on the 800 to 1000 blocks of Capitol.
- Smith between Capitol and Rusk: Two west-side lanes closed to traffic during non-peak hours on the 700 block of Capitol.
- Rusk between Smith and Louisiana: Two north-side lanes will be closed to traffic on the 600 block of Capitol.
- Texas Louisiana and Milam: Three south-side lanes will be closed to traffic on the 800 block of Texas.
- Louisiana between Capitol and Texas: Two east-side lanes will be closed to traffic during non-peak hours on the 600 to 700 blocks of Louisiana.
