The Uptown Line, or Gold Line, begins at the Northwest Transit Center, allowing commuters to transfer from 290 and I-10, and runs south along IH-610 to Post Oak Boulevard to connect with the University Line at Westpark. The approximately four-mile rail line connects the Galleria area with downtown and offers access to Texas Southern University and the University of Houston via the University Line.
