45,000 rail fans can't be wrong.
Every day, 45,000 people ride the rail, making the Main Street Line the most heavily traveled per track mile in the world. If they can do it, so can you. This guide will show you how.
Where to park There are several convenient places to park, depending on where you’re headed and which station you’ll use.
How to pay There are two ways to pay your fare – a single-ride ticket or the METRO Q® Fare Card.
|
Buy a rail ticket. Make your first stop at the Ticket Vending Machine (TVM) for a single-ride ticket. There are TVMs at each station along the line. Rail tickets can be purchased using cash or credit or debit cards. The cost is $1.25. View this video to see how to use a Ticket Vending Machine (TVM).
Use a METRO Q® Card. This unique card contains a computer chip that stores your cash balance directly on your card. Fares are automatically deducted from your card each time you ride, like a debit card. Just touch your card to the METRO Q® Box at METRORail platforms, and you're on your way.
