Arts in Transit Southeast Line
After a rigorous selection process that included METRO staff, art specialists and—most importantly—members of the community, artists have been selected to enhance stations of Houston's Southeast Line. These artists are part of the team responsible for final design and construction of the stations.
The artists, all from Houston, include:
Carroll Parrott Blue and Sharon Johnston, A.I.A.
The Dawn Project/Johnston Marklee
The team of artists chose to honor the powerful contributions of African-Americans in a dynamic, historical timeline that unfolds from one station to the next.

Dan Havel
Houston, Texas
Dan Havel doesn't just make art—he makes statements. Physical. Big. Dramatic. Interactive. Havel and collaborator Dean Ruck most recently earned attention for Inversion, a temporary installation at the Art League Houston that took two old houses and literally turned them inside out.
