11 stations from Downtown to Palm Center

The Southeast Line, or Purple Line, begins in downtown Houston and runs along Capitol and Rusk southeast to the vicinity of Palm Center at MLK and Griggs, going through the center of one of Houston’s oldest African-American communities. The approximately 6-mile rail line connects downtown with local universities including Texas Southern University (TSU) and the University of Houston (UH). The last portion of the track, shared with the East End Line, will enable riders to transfer at the Bastrop Station and travel through the historic East End to the Magnolia Transit Center. Southeast Line riders will also be able to transfer to METRORail’s existing Red Line on Main Street.& ;nbs p;
