BUSINESS SPOTLIGHT: Harrisburg Clinic![]() Located at 5103 Harrisburg, the Harrisburg Clinic’s mission is to provide reasonably priced healthcare to the uninsured and under-insured. Family practice made perfectThe Harrisburg Clinic opened its doors in 2007 with a simple mission in mind: to provide quality, affordable healthcare to the local Hispanic community. But what started as a community-minded effort quickly grew in scope and reach. “We don’t just serve the local community anymore, or just Hispanics,” says Norma Jacobi, Clinic Director and Partner. “We have people coming from all over the city to receive care.” Originally conceived as a one-stop-shop that paired an on-site pharmacy with an integrated lab and treatment facility, the clinic already has plans to expand. Soon, they’ll add more services and more doctors to their staff of three physicians and supporting team of 16 employees. Currently the clinic provides a wide range of tests and services, from blood tests and lab work to ultrasound and prenatal care. Though the clinic accepts most insurance plans, along with Medicare and Medicaid , their fees are structured to cater to those who do not have access to medical insurance and may not be able to afford treatment elsewhere. Jacobi is hopeful for the changes light rail will bring—to her business and her community. “We want everyone to know that we’re still here, giving the same level of care as always,” says Jacobi, “even though we may be slightly more difficult to get to for a while.”
